NFL Rumors: Scouts Mumble Ravens Landed ‘Select’ with Nate Wiggins, ‘Obtained’ 2024 NFL Draft

Some NFL scouts comprise cited the Baltimore Ravens as a winner on this year’s NFL draft in portion as a result of team’s first-round likelihood, Clemson cornerback Nate Wiggins.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler relayed that recordsdata on SportsCenter on Saturday:

“There’s pretty loads of buzz from scouts I’m talking to about who obtained, who misplaced the draft. They invent up Baltimore. Is this one other year where they obtained a terribly truthful first-round pick because he wasn’t necessarily the top cornerback in the mock drafts but several scouts I talked to claim they had him because the premier man in conserving along with his duvet abilities ability. Fair a diminutive undersized but he overcomes that with toughness.”

That is no longer the valuable time NFL executives comprise praised the Ravens for Wiggins, the No. 30 total likelihood.

“Nate Wiggins was once the right kind duvet corner in the draft,” one of them knowledgeable Mike Sando of The Athletic. “He falls a diminutive because he did no longer compete as persistently as you wish, but going into that Baltimore custom, they want to if truth be told feel truthful. They’re no longer a team you if truth be told quiz.”

The 6’1″, 182-pound Wiggins earned First-team All-ACC honors in 2022 and 2023. He performed closing season with 29 tackles, six cross breakups and two interceptions.

But now he’s in the pros and has already started on-self-discipline exercises with rookie minicamp underway.

He leads a draft class that entails, amongst others, Washington offensive model out Roger Rosengarten, Penn Inform delivery air linebacker Adisa Isaac, UNC huge receiver Devontez Walker and Iowa Inform cornerback T.J. Tampa.
